However it does seem that there might be occasions when a modern state might need to deploy its national army internally - e.g. to maintain order after a nuclear or major biological attack. Surely it would make more sense to get rid of that amendment to the constitution that talks about the importance of a "well regulated militia" and the "right to bear arms". Many of today's laws, which are in English, don't make much sense if you look at their names either. Tillerman-
