As a photographer, I found one site very interesting. The site is called Strobist, and is a blog by a professional photographer, and is all about using small, hot-shoe based flash, particularly off-camera, for photography. While he has scaled back the level of his blogging recently, the site is an excellent resource for any photographers who want to learn more about simple lighting techniques.
One thing that separates this site from many others, is the Strobist Boot Camp. This is a series of assignments that are given out. The resulting photos from the participants are posted as part of a Flickr photo group. The assignments are open to both professional and amateur photographers, but requires that you state which you are.
I hope my readers, who are interested in photography will go take a look at Strobist and the Strobist Flickr photo group. Most of the work is excellent, and very well executed.
